How Does A WhatsApp Business Profile Work?

The instant messaging platform WhatsApp shared details about its business accounts in the company’s FAQ section on its website.In the post regarding the new update, it has been said that some business accounts have already been verified by WhatsApp. If you see a green badge with a white tick mark next to the contacts name, then it has been verified by the company as a business profile.

It was said in the company’s post that “WhatsApp will let you know when you start talking to business via yellow messages in the chat. There is no way we can delete these chat messages. If you already have a business’s phone number saved in your address book, the name you will see is the name you have saved in your address book.If you don’t have a business’s phone number saved in your address book, the name you will see is the name the business has chosen for themselves. If you’d like to stop a business from contacting you, you can block them.”

This feature of whatsapp will be coming to India very soon. It already selected Bookmyshow as its first partner to test the service.

As seen the above image the Info section will give us the information like the address of the business, the real name of the business and mail address. In case the business has a Facebook account we will be given the link to that profile.
